Understanding Volume and Intensity in Weight Training

Understanding Volume and Intensity in Weight Training: "olume is how much work you do, and intensity is how hard you do it. That's a simple approach to it in any case. Let's explain. If we take Romanian deadlifts for example -- let's say you do 5 lifts (repetitions) with 100 pounds. If you increase this to 10 lifts you have increased the volume. If you keep the repetitions the same at 5 and increase the barbell weight to 150 pounds, you have increased the intensity of the exercise."
