‘This year will see less coverage of size zero models in the media as women no longer perceive thin as the desired body shape,’ she says. ‘Since the Olympics, more females prefer to strive for a body like Jessica Ennis. It can be achieved through weight training (and a well-balanced diet). Exercises such as squats and lunges will not only sculpt and define legs but will strengthen bones (reducing the risk of osteoporosis) and promote lean tissue. Studies have shown that having more lean tissue means you will burn more calories at rest due to an increased metabolic rate.’"
